Flying and Grounded our programs goals are to support young people launching into life as good humans.
- 3 thoughtfully designed programs to support young people as they launch into life curious, connected, & confident in who they are
- ~All our programs are no/low tech meaning phones stay at home or tucked in backpacks.
Mental Health & Community
Mondays
11:30-2:30pm at the CK House
- A low-demand, nurturing space for teens to relax and enjoy being in community. Following their interests through games, cooking, and socializing with no pressure, just real connection.
- ~Welcome & collaborative game/challenge
- ~Closing circle

Tuition: $150/ month
$110 supply fee annually
Academic Goal Setting and Support Tuesdays and/or Thursdays
11:30-2:30 at the CK House
- Guided by a certified, kind and compassionate teacher, teens pursue their own academic goals including online schooling and self-directed curriculum. Families collaborate on goal-setting every step of the way.
- ~Group check-in
- ~Work time
- ~Adult and /or peer suport as needed
- ~Reflection & Closing circle
- *Note there will be a family meeting at the time of enrollment and semesterly (or as needed).

Flying Squads
Wednesdays
10:30-2:30pm
departing the SRQ downtown bus station
- Teens explore Sarasota by public bus and on foot, building confidence, making connections, and discovering all the possibilities the community has to offer. See your city and your future with fresh eyes.
- ~Meet at the bus stop to plan route and timings (locations available upon request)
- ~Journey into Sarasota
- ~Teens will be given a budget for the day. No additional money is needed.
- ~Parents will be notified where the final desitination is.

A Program Note (or two):
All our programs are led by competent, emotionally regulated, and caring adults. They have many years of experience working with teens!
Sometimes, teens are hesitant to join a new group or try something new. If this is the case, we are happy to accommodate you with paid trial days. Please reach out and we can schedule whatever your family needs to feel comfortable giving our program a go!
All programs are also payable via Step Up and only require one supply fee per learner per year.

- Need-based scholarships awarded “in-house” and no strings attached provided through Friends of Curious and Kind, a local 501c3 (not available for camp)
- Direct provider for the Step Up scholarship
- End of Year Evaluations upon request
- PEP recipients can also receive: Low-stress test proctoring & support writing learning plans
